As a photographer, I get to capture so many special moments in people’s lives…. from family pictures, back to school images, cake smash sessions, engagement photos, to those once in a lifetime moments like weddings and newborn images. Over the past few years of capturing these images, and becoming a mother myself, I have had a complete change in perspective of photography. I first started photography as a hobby and capturing nature and all it had to offer. Only after a short time of doing this, I quickly became a portraiture and realized just how much I love photographing people. When I first started as a portraiture, I was always thinking about how I could make the person in the picture beautfiul, which isn’t a wrong way of thinking, but now, my perspective has changed. I am now not so worried about having this amazing location to photograph, because I am not a landscape photographer, I am a portraiture. I capture the beauty of the individual in the image. And, each and every individual is beatiful in their own way. And, through my eyes and behind my lens, I get to witness people’s beauty each and every day. I get to witness those special moments between two people as they see each other on their wedding day and share their special vows with one another. I get to capture some of the very first images of newborns and their cuddly cuteness with their sweet faces and tiny little toes. I GET TO….. and I LOVE it. I am a photographer.
