 I have had the privilege of working with this family for just over 1 year now, and what an awesome family. They have the most adorable little boy that is always so happy and full of life. We had a perfect morning session to capture this family and the beautiful fall colors. Here are a few images from their Fall Family Mini Session.
As a photographer, I get to capture so many special moments in people’s lives…. from family pictures, back to school images, cake smash sessions, engagement photos, to those once in a lifetime moments like weddings and newborn images. Over the past few years of capturing these images, and becoming a mother myself, I have had a complete change in perspective of photography. I first started photography as a hobby and capturing nature and all it had to offer. Only after a short time of doing this, I quickly became a portraiture and realized just how much I love photographing people. When I first started as a portraiture, I was always thinking about how I could make the person in the picture beautfiul, which isn’t a wrong way of thinking, but now, my perspective has changed. I am now not so worried about having this amazing location to photograph, because I am not a landscape photographer, I am a portraiture. I capture the beauty of the individual in the image. And, each and every individual is beatiful in their own way. And, through my eyes and behind my lens, I get to witness people’s beauty each and every day. I get to witness those special moments between two people as they see each other on their wedding day and share their special vows with one another. I get to capture some of the very first images of newborns and their cuddly cuteness with their sweet faces and tiny little toes. I GET TO….. and I LOVE it. I am a photographer.  Sweet baby Clinton was in my studio recently. He was 4 days new and just over 6 pounds. I was able to capture some great images along with some terrific props that Mommy and Daddy brought. As a mother myself, I know just how exciting it is to be so close to the end of your pregnancy, and, what better way to cherish it than a maternity photo session. I truly believe there is a stunning beauty in a pregnant woman. While there might be 9 months of morning sickness and the occasional heart burn, you forget all of it when you stop and look at the artistic nature of maternity photos. I was so excited to get to capture these stunning images for Brittannie and her family. She is my amazing second photographer for weddings, and more importantly, my very very good friend for years now. I absolutely love how these images came out, and feel honored to get to photograph her little guy here in a few weeks.
